Pricing questions, answered
Is the free tier actually free?
Yes — really free, forever. No trial that flips to paid, no card up front, no ad-supported "free" tier with banners inside the app. We make money when families value Plus enough to upgrade. If you never do, we still don't show you ads.
What happens to my data if I cancel Plus?
You drop back to the free tier. All your existing events, lists, and household data stay intact. The Plus-only features (unlimited AI, drive times, etc.) deactivate, but nothing gets deleted. You can resubscribe anytime to re-enable them — even months later — and pick up exactly where you left off.
Why is there a Founders' Lifetime?
Because the families who bet on us at launch are the families who make this product real. The first 1,000 households who buy lifetime get Plus Pro forever — every feature we ever ship, with no recurring subscription. It's our way of saying thank you in a permanent, can't-take-it-back way. Once the 1,000 seats are gone, the offer closes.
Can I switch between monthly and yearly?
Yes — anytime, from Settings → Manage Subscription. Switching from monthly to yearly is prorated automatically. Switching the other way takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle.
Do you offer a family / household discount?
One Plus subscription covers your entire household — up to 12 members on Plus, up to 20 on Plus Pro. We don't charge per family member like Apple One or some others. It's one price for the whole household.
What's the refund policy?
If you're unhappy within 14 days of a new Plus or Plus Pro purchase, email support@ourlifeapp.ai and we'll refund you — no questions, no forms. Founders' Lifetime gets a 30-day window because it's a bigger commitment.
Will pricing go up later?
If we raise prices in the future, existing subscribers stay grandfathered at the price they signed up at. Founders' Lifetime never sees a price change — that's the whole point of it. New families pay the new rate; you keep paying what you started with, for as long as you're a customer.
